Architects Registration Board recently hosted the East African Regulators Meeting in Entebbe, Uganda.
Countries and Regulatory Boards represented included Uganda the hosts, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. South Sudan and Burundi were also invited. There were also representatives of the Surveyors Registration Board of Uganda and an
A wide range of issues were deliberated on. These included inter-national collaborations among member bodies, implementation of resolutions and policies, procedural matters for the meeting, oversight functions of the meeting, constitution of the committees among other things.
Registrars from the member regulatory bodies represented their countries at the meeting.
Also, an officer from the Ministry of East African Affairs Uganda attended and gave a presentation on how the members can interact, collaborate and liaise with the Ministry for better support of their programs and policies.
The meeting, chaired by the Chairman Uganda Architects Registration Board, Arch. Robert Henry Kiggundu, lasted all afternoon at the plush Lake Heights Hotel in Entebbe.
